The wellbeing of the entire Huntsville community depends upon a successful and high achieving school system. A Time 2 Read has become an integral part of these efforts. A recent article in The Huntsville Item shared, "According to Harvard & Stanford based analysis of the National Report Card, ... HISD has earned the highest gains in the nation in reading levels for 3rd-8th graders from 2019-2022." Dr. Scott Sheppard, HISD Superintendent, went on to explain, "In addition to the outstanding work of our staff, volunteers working through A Time 2 Read have certainly made a positive difference... Our staff, students, and community have truly come together to rebuild Huntsville ID into something the whole community can be proud of."
Our mission statement is: Save a Child. Save a Family. Save a City. As an organization, we desire to impact the lives of children, teachers, families, and the community by enhancing the quality of public education through our tutoring program, as well as creating a ministry of loving care for students to see they are valued and precious to God.
How can you give?
We are specifically looking for donors who will partner with us as monthly or quarterly donors. Even a donation of $10-15/month can make a difference in the life of a student!
