This church body is one of the most giving churches in Huntsville! Early on, they sent members to training to help us start at Huntsville Elementary. They have also hosted End of Year Celebration parties at their church, providing food and a warm and welcoming environment for students, parents, teachers, and volunteers to celebrate the year's successes. On top of providing people and the use of their facilities, they have been giving on a monthly basis since our first full year in the schools. As Race Route Sponsors for our first fundraiser, the Storybook Character 5K & Fun Run, they continue to show support for A TIME 2 READ. We are so grateful for our partnership with this church family.
University Heights Baptist Church, one of the three churches that partnered together to bring A TIME 2 READ to Huntsville ISD, has been part of A TIME 2 READ since the beginning. Our first volunteers came from this body of believers, and they not only sent people ready to serve in the schools but also have provided space on their campus for trainings, hosted The Gathering celebration to kick off the beginning of the year, provide all of our printed material in kind, allow the use of their facilities for the Storybook Character 5K & Fun Run, and donate to A TIME 2 READ on a monthly basis. Our UHBC family is part of the lifeblood of A2R, and we could not do what we do without this great group of people!
